Canyoning

Have you ever heard of canyoning? To explain briefly, it involves climbing down a canyon with flowing water around you! I did it for the first time last May, in the Southern French Alps. The first step is not very exciting – you have to slip into a super-tight wetsuit and believe me it was not an easy thing to do! Then Gil, our instructor, gave us some practical tips before leading us to the first waterfall. After 2 and a half hours of abseiling, jumping and climbing, we had a well-deserved picnic along a quieter river. Amazing experience mainly thanks to Gil and his fantastic expertise.
From 40€ the half-day, wetsuits included

  1. I am fond of cycling and I visited the Loire Valley this summer. It was a good alternative to visit the chateaux along the Loire River.
Find all the practical information (renting bike, bed and breakfast, etc) to plan your bike excursion on the numerous cycle routes in France. Have a nice trip!
