Canyoning
Have you ever heard of canyoning? To explain briefly, it involves climbing down a canyon with flowing water around you! I did it for the first time last May, in the Southern French Alps. The first step is not very exciting – you have to slip into a super-tight wetsuit and believe me it was not an easy thing to do! Then Gil, our instructor, gave us some practical tips before leading us to the first waterfall. After 2 and a half hours of abseiling, jumping and climbing, we had a well-deserved picnic along a quieter river. I am fond of cycling and I visited the Loire Valley this summer. It was a good alternative to visit the chateaux along the Loire River.
